Damon Charlton – Apprentice Coach

My name is Damon Charlton, I went to Wheldon School, which is now Carlton Academy. I started working at Football in the Community in January 2016. Before I came here I did a childcare apprenticeship at Clarendon College after doing my BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport through FITC’s Futsal and Education programme. I also have my FA Level 1 in Coaching.

I have a lot of experience working with children and young people, and enjoy helping them develop their abilities. The best part about being a coach is having fun with participants and seeing that they’re enjoying themselves. I hope to have a chance at working in a primary school as a P.E teacher or have a chance of working abroad in a different country.
