Hosted at the Poppy and Pint (Pierrepoint Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5DX), there will be an opportunity to get your hands on a signed copy of Les’ new book as well as an open Q&A session for all fans to ask him any questions regarding his career, his current roles or perhaps even his starring appearance in a popular CBBC TV programme . . .
Les is a much loved club legend which has seen him recently release his fantastic new book, ‘Far Post – A Striker’s Tale of Scoring Goals and Breaking Records’ and he will be joined, on the night, by Terry Bowles who also worked on the book. Terry covered Notts County for the Nottingham Evening Post from 1973 – 78. He continued to work closely with the club for much of the next 30 years after launching his own media agency, producing the match programme and handling their communications activities.
We’re delighted that Les has chosen to use this opportunity as a fundraising event for Notts County Football in the Community, of which Les is a proud ambassador. All funds raised will go directly to the charity to help support the many projects, for some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people, that are run throughout Nottinghamshire. There will be fantastic raffle prizes to win on the night and we’re proud to be a part of it.
