This week (26th to 30th June), FITC has been promoting National School Sport Week, which is a huge celebration of everything that is great about PE. Our coaches and Mr Magpie have been in schools across Nottingham highlighting the many benefits of healthy lifestyles and physical activity that PE promotes.
We work in many schools and have used the high-profile, Premier League Primary Stars sessions to showcase NSSW, while giving children across the county the opportunity to read and learn with FITC’s team of professional sports coaches. Using the appeal of the Premier League and Notts County FC, we aim to inspire children to learn, get active and develop important life skills.
Competitions range from football tournaments to reading challenges. We also support teachers to improve their confidence in delivering PE.
The Premier League and FITC’s values underpin everything on offer, encouraging children to be ambitious, inspiring, connected and fair. Through literature and play, we appeal to boys and girls, using PE to develop teamwork, healthy lifestyles and literacy skills ready for the next step in their educational development.
