Get fit by joining FITC’s sponsored walk From Mill to Meadow

mill-to-meadow-laneOn Saturday 14th January 2017, Notts County FC Football in the Community (FITC) will hold our second sponsored walk to fundraise for our community projects.

These include adults and children’s mental-health, men’s working age dementia, CARE (cancer rehabilitation) along with many more.

Following the success of last year’s event, we have decided to repeat this popular fundraiser but this year have decided to walk back from Mansfield to Nottingham to arrive in time for the Notts County FC home fixture against Mansfield Town, with kick-off brought forward by police to 13:00.  We hope that Notts County fans will be keen to show their support for FITC and challenge themselves to walk the 15.5miles back to Meadow Lane.

We are asking everyone who joins us on the walk from Mill to Meadow to kindly raise a minimum of £100 for FITC’s community sports projects. This can be donated in cash or online using our justgiving website. Remember to claim giftaid if you qualify. Notts County is a registered charity. Registered charity no. 1091927

The team of walkers’ plan to meet at 5.50am outside Meadow Lane where will we be taken by bus to The One Call Stadium. We will then depart on foot at 6:30am where we will walk the route (approximately 15.5 miles) to Meadow Lane, with regular breaks and intervals and hope to arrive at Meadow Lane around 12.15pm in good time for a pre-match lap around the pitch before the game begins.

Registration for this event costs £10 and for this you will receive an FITC supporter t-shirt.

We anticipate that many walkers will already have season-tickets to use for this fixture, however please contact us directly if you require a match ticket.

The minimum age for this event is 13 years of age. Anyone under the age of 16 years of age, MUST be accompanied by an adult on this event.

To join the FITC team of walkers for this event or if you have any questions please contact events organiser Neil Kelly on 0115 955 7215  or  email –
