Hello, my name is Helen and I have been working for Notts County Football in the community since July 2015. I started my sport journey as a volunteer at Sporting Futures in Amber Valley in 2012. I won a Street Games National Award for East Midlands volunteer of the year and my career started there.
I was made lead coach, a job which I had for 3 years. During this time I delivered programmes in primary, secondary and youth settings. As well as assisting the sports development manager with admin duties.
I have 13 different qualifications in sport, my proudest being my Level 2 in Multi Sports Development. This is something which I hope to add to in the future.
I have worked in over 20 different primary schools during my sports coaching career and have lots of experience with this age group.
I was very pleased to be offered the job of Health Officer at Notts County, as this will provide me with an exciting and new challenge.
I love that every day is different and that I have the opportunity to work with a variety of people from different backgrounds and ages.
I am particularly passionate about my work in the Health team on the CARE project, which is for people who are living with cancer. Due to personal experiences this is a project that will always be close to my heart.
My main sports are badminton and netball, but I enjoy coaching everything.
In the future my aim is to be at managerial level and to lead my own team of coaches to success.
