I am writing to ask for your help with a very important project at Notts County FC Football in the Community (FITC) whose ongoing community work I am proud to support.
FITC is a charity that does a huge amount of life-changing work across Nottingham’s diverse communities. They work with people of all ages, cultures, abilities and disabilities, both male and female.
I was surprised to find out they deliver a project in primary schools that focuses on childhood development relating to confidence, self-esteem, concentration, teamwork and relationships. Their coaches are experts in improving behaviour in people with social and emotional problems through sports coaching.
The project, called Primary Goals 2, aims to teach children how to express themselves in different environments in an appropriate, confident manner in situations they might find challenging. It aims to help children increase their aspirations and reach their potential, so they can succeed in life.
How you can help
As FITC is a charity, they rely entirely on independent donations. Primary Goals 2 has been shortlisted to win £50,000 of Big Lottery Funding through ITV’s The People’s Projects public vote. Many other organisations from Leicestershire and Derbyshire are competing to win this funding and it will be awarded to the project that receives the most votes. We are the ONLY project from Nottinghamshire that has been shortlisted.
This is where you come in! It only takes a minute.
Voting is quick, simple, FREE and closes on Monday 3rd April 2017 at 12 noon but please don’t delay. CLICK HERE and vote for us NOW!
Let’s do Notts County proud and bring this funding to Nottinghamshire.
Thanks in advance,
Former Scotland Player, Notts County FC Captain and Friend of FITC
