Welcome to July’s edition of the Notts County Football in the Community newsletter. As usual there’s an action-packed schedule of amazing projects and activities going on. It’s a source of inspiration to me to see first-hand how the power of football through the work of our dedicated team at Football in the Community makes such a positive difference to local people’s lives. Football really can, and does, change lives.
One exciting project launched this month is Nottingham’s first CEO Sleep Out. It aims to raise awareness of the issue of local homelessness, supporting two local nominated homeless charities as well as raising money for the local disadvantaged adults and children on FITC’s projects. It’s a unique opportunity to spend a night sleeping outside under the stars at Meadow Lane on 13 October – when chief executives and senior managers will swap their briefcases for sleeping bags!
Let’s hope the weather is drier than it’s been this summer! Please do read about all the projects going on – spread the word and if possible join in.
Many thanks for your support,
