Notts County v Forest Green Rovers – Free Community Day activities for all the family confirmed to celebrate FITC

FITC Community Day

Notts County and Notts County FITC distribute 5,000 free tickets to primary schools and FITC project participants to celebrate their continued community investment.

On Saturday 7th October, Notts County welcome League 2 newcomers Forest Green Rovers to Meadow Lane. Since our last Community Day against Crewe Alexandra in October 2016, Football in the Community continue to provide award winning projects across the county and in some of the most deprived areas of inner-city Nottingham. With preparations being finalised by both the club and FITC, this year’s festivities cater for all ages – dads to lads, mums to tots, there is something available for both home and visiting fans.

Invited guests are requested to arrive at Meadow Lane for 12:30pm to be escorted to the club’s main reception. Those looking to enjoy the pre-match activities can do so from 1pm onwards on Meadow Lane. Confirmed activities include live choirs, emergency service vehicle tours, rock climbing, virtual reality headsets, power shoot, bouncy castles and face painting to make sure you don the famous black, white and gold in style!

Notts County Chairman, Alan Hardy is brimming with excitement as his table-toppers entertain a bumper crowd. “I’m really excited to experience my first Community Day at Meadow Lane, with our primary objective being to get as many people inside the ground as possible to create a carnival atmosphere. With no Championship or Premier League football on that day, it would be brilliant to see fans of all the East Midlands teams come together to support us, with Forest fans in particular having a great opportunity to track the progress of Jorge Grant and Ryan Yates.”

FITC Community Day

With over 5,000 primary school tickets given away and a large crowd expected on the day, FITC encourage ticket holders wishing to enjoy free activities to arrive at 1pm and make their way into the ground for 2:45pm to avoid minimal disruption. Due to high demand, Football in the Community have assigned their ticket allocation however, we encourage those wishing to attend the fixture to take advantage of the fantastic offer of adults for £10, under 18s for £5, under 12s for £1 and under 7s go free! Tickets can be purchased online at www.nottscountyfc.co.uk or at the Meadow Lane Club shop (ticket prices subject to change when purchased on the date of the fixture).
