A snowy Thursday 10 February hosted a Positive Goals League tournament at Harvery Hadden Sports Village.

Funded by Nottinghamshire FA and the Nottingham Disability Football Family, Football in the Community organised 7 mental health football teams to come together and play a friendly 5-a-side tournament.

Teams AMH, ANCIL NSN, CHESTERFIELD and the MAGPIES battled it out in the bitter weather with team AMH coming out on top with 18 points.

Unfortunately the Magpies had a difficult day with Team A securing just 3 points and Team B securing a disappointing 2 points. A lot of frustration was felt by the teams, however there was a lot of team work displayed by the players which we’re sure will result in more wins for the Magpies in future Positive Goals competitions.

A great addition to the day was the attendance of the Nottinghamshire Panthers who came along to show their support from the side-lines and meeting all the Positive Goals players.

We’d like to thank; Robert Lachowitz, Erik Lindhagen, Ollie Betteridge, Dan Green and Jindrich Pacl for attending the session and showing their support for men’s mental health football.
