Notts County Football in the Community are proud to announce a new and unique community partnership with local Nottinghamshire savoury pastry specialists, Tottle Bakery, part of the Addo Food Group.
With the organisation’s heritage dating back to the late 18th century baking Britain’s No1 Pork Pies Brand Pork Farms, Tottle Bakery has become FITC’s first partner of 2018 to pledge their support to their award winning work.
Tottle Bakery in Nottingham is one of 6 sites under the Addo Food Group umbrella and is the UK’s leading manufacturers of pork pies. It has become a family favourite for retailers and customers alike.
Notts County Football in the Community’s Partnership and Events Executive James Bromley spoke with excitement with the unveiling of a new community partner; “2018 has got off to a real positive start with not just one, but two massive community partnership acquisitions” said James. “Tottle Bakery, part of the Addo Food Group, is a leading organisation within their industry, and I am proud to be working with them going forward. With a large workforce and a massive community focus, I’m really looking forward to developing our relationship and I’d like to say thank you to Georgina and Laura from Tottle Bakery in particular for pledging their support to FITC.”
Key to making this partnership happen was Tottle HR Manager Georgina Ponsford, who explained the decision to choose FITC as their first Community Partner; “In previous years we have done a variety of charity events, but our efforts were disjointed. We were looking for a charity to partner with that would be of interest and relevance to our business. We are proud of our Nottingham heritage and wanted to support projects in the local community that our staff were able to engage in, whether it be fund raising or volunteering. FITC offers everything we could wish for in a community partner”.
Discussions are now well underway to develop this partnership throughout 2018 as to how the two organisations can work together to make a real difference in the local community.
