Emma’s Training Blog – The Final Countdown!

Our Health Manager Emma Trent has been training for a couple of months now, and it all comes down to this – her fight is this weekend! Here she tells us how she’s feeling in her final training blog…

The countdown is well on truly on! I only have a couple of days left before Fight Night on Saturday at Harvey Hadden. Split night took place earlier this week, which is when I found out who I would be fighting. Unexpectedly, I won’t be fighting anyone in the Nottingham camp. A girl from the Bolton camp will be making the trip over for my fight. All I know about her is that she has fought four times before, so four more times than me!!

I’m in the tapering stage of training, so everything is a little bit less and a little bit lighter. We had our final team meeting last night to run through the format of the evening and wave our goodbyes to each other until the big day! I popped over to my sponsors today, Mad Dog Sports in West Bridgford, to pick up my kit which they very kindly donated and printed for me. I don’t think you can tell in the picture that I’m nervous at all…

It’s not too late to donate, so please do show your support for Emma’s boxing challenge and for the great charity work that Football in the Community do.
