On your marks! Get Set! Fundraise! – FITC welcome runners for the Asda 10K Nottingham 2018

Notts County Football in the Community and Run For All, host of The Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K, are proud to announce a new charity partnership, just in time for Nottingham to host their biggest 10k to date! On Sunday 12th August 2018, hundreds of fundraisers, including supporters of FITC who will take on the 10K challenge that stretches the length of the City, starting and finishing at Nottingham Rugby club with the course taking runners on a journey through the scenic Lady Bay area, where you’ll be cheered on by crowds of enthusiastic spectators. Runners then travel on to the stunning Holme Pierrepont Country Park, home to the National Watersports Centre, where they will take a lap of the Regatta Lake, before the final straight back to the home of Nottingham rugby.

FITC are looking for you to assist us in:

  • Fundraising
    Runners of all abilities welcome to apply. FITC have been allocated limited free places, our staff are waiting to register your interest today!
  • Volunteer Event Stewards
    To assist in the course navigation, distribution of refreshments and safety of participants.
  • Volunteer Charity Ambassadors
    Be the point of contact for participants and the face of our award winning work when greeting the general public.

Former Magpies Manager and player Ian Richardson took on the challenge in 2016 and most recently FITC supporter and co-founder of the LGBT Pies, Steven Grocock. “To me FITC stands for everything that is great about Notts County Football Club and I’m proud to have been able to support the charity over the last few years” explained Steven. “Participating in the Asda 10k and volunteering at the Robin Hood Marathon in 2017 has been my way of helping the charity continue the great work they do to support those most in need within our City.”

Notts County Football in the Community are proud to work alongside Run For All and The Asda Foundation and a whole host of worthy causes including: Macmillan Cancer Support, Jane Tomlinson Appeal and the Nottingham Hospitals Charity to name just a few organisations looking to raise vital funds and enrich the lives of those most in need.
