The aim of the Premier League Girls Football project is to provide opportunities for girls aged 11 and over to take part in regular football sessions, helping them grow in confidence and developing their skills whilst training in a supportive local community setting.
Notts County FC Football in the Community is one of the 88 professional clubs that deliver the programme, providing a wide variety of sessions across Nottinghamshire. The programme, delivered in partnership with The Football Association, is an after-school activity, which allows girls to develop their skills at their own pace and make new friends at the same time.
The main objectives of the programme are:
-To increase the number of women and girls who regularly play football
-To provide more opportunities for women and girls to develop their skills and confidence
-To support women and girls to progress on a pathway as a player, coach or official.
